How it works
Count My Opinion USA is a simple way to give your opinion on the issues and see where everyone else stands.
1. Make an account
Sign up in the Android app or the web app with your email and a password, or with Google. We ask for your legal name, as it appears on your voter registration, because that is how verification matches you later. No nicknames, please.
2. Give your answers
Each question has a short list of choices. Pick the one that matches your opinion. You can change your answer whenever you like; your latest answer is the one that counts.
3. See the results
Once you have answered a question, its results open. You see three views:
- Everyone: every account’s current answer.
- Verified accounts: only accounts checked against a voter-registration record.
- Your state: answers from people in your own state, by each person’s home address or verified registration. You see only your own state’s results.
Results are totals only: they never show how a particular person answered. Every group, down to a whole state, shows its totals from the first answer.
4. Verify, if you want to
Verification is optional. Starting with Colorado, you can look up your own voter registration in the app or the web app and confirm it is you. Your answers then count in the verified results too. Read how verification works.
On an iPhone, you can answer questions and see results right on your phone. Only the verification step needs a laptop or an Android phone, because of a limit in iPhone Safari. How iPhone users verify.
Your data, your call
The app’s My data screen shows everything we keep about you, and you can delete your account at any time. The privacy policy has the details.
